2009 Classes
Orisha Tarot Classes Level One
Sunday, June 28, 2009 , July 26, 2009, and August 23, 2009

Tuition is $40.00 per session plus a one time class supply
of $100.00 for all three classes, plus the $50.00 class supply fee.
This class is suitable for the all levels of prior Tarot reading experience.
While beginners will learn the basics of
Tarot and how to read for oneself, more advanced students
will learn the specifics of working with the Orisha Tarot
for themselves and their clients.
The topics will include:
History of Tarot
Current Use of Tarot in Daily Life
Cleansing techniques for oneself and the deck
Contrasts between Tarot and African Divination
How to work with the Orisha Tarot in relationship to the
African Initiatory Traditions
Orisha Energies as Represented in the Tarot
Tarot Spreads for Healing, Love, Prosperity
Reading for oneself and others
Reading professionally-the pros and cons
Basic ethics of reading professionally
Hands on classroom instruction
Personalized attention in small classes
Case studies to complete between class sessions
Student discounts on upcoming learning and networking
opportunities
A certificate of completion will be awarded after
successful completion of the class and all class projects.
2008 Classes
The Institute of Africana Cosmology is offering a Level One Beginning
Mediumship Class beginning on Sunday, October 5, 2008 from
10:00am-12:30pm.
This Level One Beginning Mediumship Class is open to people who:
* Desire to learn how to safely communicate with the spirit world
* Are able to attend and complete all level one sessions and
exercises between sessions
* Are willing and able to utilize what they learn for individual
and communal uplift and spiritual advancement
Upon successful completion of this class participants will be invited
to the Level Two Series which prepares one for entry level membership
into the Egbe Egungun.
To Register:
Email a short essay of up to 500 words describing-
a) your experience interacting with the spirit world,
b) your experience with African or indigenous Spirituality,
c) and the reasons that you'd like to participate
d) along with your name, address, and telephone number.
Send all of the above items to rootwomin@gmail.com and indicate
'mediumship class' in the subject line.
Upon acceptance you will receive a supplies list that is required on
the first day of class.
Level One Classes begin on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at 10:00 until
12:30 pm and continue on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at 10:00am until 1pm
in South Seattle, WA.
The cost of the Level One series of classes is $50.00 plus the cost of
supplies.
